I was delighted to have contributed a chapter to Coastal Cultures of the Long Nineteenth Century. It was edited by the splendid Ingleby and Kerr and published by Edinburgh University Press.
My chapter reconsiders the early tin/ambrotype photographers trading on the foreshore from 1850. The book has already had some splendid reviews and whilst eye-wateringly expensive should be in good libraries very soon.
